Why is this one called Reims? The inspiration, of course, comes from the Jean Pernet Champagne. Reims is one of the largest towns in the Champagne region and is home to this lovely chateau. I was lucky enough to visit the Champagne region a few times as a child – however I always accompanied my parents and was far too young to appreciate the nuances of the terroir. On one particular trip, my sister and I mentioned we would like to do something other than watch them taste champagne and so they took us to some fabulous mushroom caves – what we didn’t learn about mushroom production on that trip is not worth knowing! We still talk about that even today
